COMPANY MILESTONES Dec 2006: GlobeNet introduces the G-Net Link, a new product that provides enhanced connectivity to New York, Miami & Caracas, delivering conversion, switching, hubbing and grooming services over an International Private Line. Nov 2006: GlobeNet announces an SDH capacity network upgrade, adding an additional 40 Gigs on the network. June 2003: Brasil Telecom acquires the GlobeNet network from 360americas. Nov 2002: Brasil Telecom confirms its interest in acquiring the GlobeNet system. Oct 2001: 360americas releases an Offering Memorandum to sell the GlobeNet system. June 2001: 360networks files for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection. March 2001: Alcatel completes the "Atlantica-1" network at a cost exceeding US $1 Billion. The 360americas GlobeNet system begins operation, linking the USA, Bermuda, Brazil, and Venezuela. |
